HIGHWAY

She parked the car, turned it off, step down, walked up front to the counter of the gas station, remembered him lying upside down, counted the money left in her pocket, gave the money to the lady, walk to the fridge, remembered him lying upside down, grabbed a soda, went out, pulled the hose, stared a big stain of oil in the pavement, remembered him lying upside down, the nerves tickling her, the landscape already scratching her future dreams, she threw a penny to the stain and laughed.
